Dream Book House Library Turn-over Ceremony held at Malanday Elementary School

The turnover ceremony of the Dream Book House Library on January 8, 2024 filled the learners and teachers of Malanday Elementary School in Marikina City with immeasurable joy. The event was graced by none other than the Chief Executive Officer of IP Design and Scouter, Won Jun-Shik, accompanied by his team of co-scouters, Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro, DepEd NCR Regional Director Jocelyn DR. Andaya, and officials from the Schools Division Office of Marikina.

The Dream Book House Library stands as a beacon of intellectual growth, housing a diverse collection of educational materials and interactive spaces meticulously curated to not only support academic pursuits but also to ignite curiosity and foster holistic intellectual development among students.

Jocelyn Andaya, the Regional Director of the Department of Education’s National Capital Region (DepEd-NCR), emphasized the library’s pivotal role in achieving the objectives of the recently launched MATATAG curriculum. This curriculum, a recalibration of the K- to 10 program, addresses critical issues relative to the implementation of the K-12 program. Director Andaya expressed her appreciation, stating, “This donation from our partners will truly be helpful to our learners. That’s why, in the end, we are all here to make sure that our learners will have a chance at a decent future.”

Director Andaya extended heartfelt gratitude to the donors and partners, particularly acknowledging the instrumental role played by the local government of Marikina City. She emphasized, “Efforts like this done by the LGU, DepEd Marikina, and our Incheon counterparts tell us that the future is for the children. That is why we are very grateful to our donors, the IP Design Company.”

The Dream Book House Library symbolizes a profound belief that access to knowledge can enrich and transform a learner’s life. It serves as a testament to the collaborative efforts of the community and corporate partners, illustrating a shared dedication to shaping a brighter future for the next generation. The Dream Book House Library is not merely a physical space but a tangible embodiment of the collective vision for a more educated and empowered society.
