DepEd NCR Hosts Regional Summit for Private Schools
Manila, Philippines – May 24, 2024 – The Department of Education National Capital Region (DepEd NCR) through its Quality Assurance Division (QAD) successfully hosted the Regional Summit for Private Schools, drawing over 800 participants from various private schools across the region. This landmark event aimed to empower private school owners with the latest information and strategies to enhance educational services for learners.
The summit featured a lineup of distinguished resource speakers from the Regional Office including Ms. Micah G. Pacheco, the Officer-in-Charge of the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD) and Atty. Annaliza G. Esperanza, Legal Unit Head. Ms. Pacheco presented an overview of the MATATAG curriculum while Atty. Esperanza shared updates on regulatory policies on private school operations. Atty. Tara Triztina C. Rama of the Government Assistance and Subsidies Office from DepEd Central Office discussed the various programs and initiatives of the agency for private education. The highlight of the event was an insightful presentation by Regional Director Jocelyn DR Andaya, who provided a comprehensive overview of the future education landscape in the region.
