DepEd NCR’s Curriculum Chiefs Unite for Successful Implementation Workshop

Manila, January 19, 2024 – The Department of Education National Capital Region (DepEd NCR) recently attended a four-day National Orientation on Department Order No. 54, series of 2022, sponsored by DepEd Central Office, focusing on the new guidelines for the selection of Senior High School-Technical Vocational Livelihood Specialization. The event, hosted at the DepEd Ecotech Center from January 16 to 19, 2024, brought together educational leaders from across the region.

A highlight of the orientation was the collaboration of the 16 Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) Chiefs from DepEd NCR, working hand in hand with Ms. Micah Pacheco, the Officer-in-Charge of the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD), and NCR’s TVL regional Education Program Supervisor, Dr. James Roldan. This joint effort aimed to delve into the intricacies of the latest department order, ensuring a thorough understanding for its effective implementation.

During the collaborative workshop, the CID Chiefs discovered immeasurable joy in sharing their collective expertise and building strong bonds. Beyond the workshop sessions, they took advantage of their free time to explore popular spots in Cebu, adding a recreational touch to their professional endeavors. Notable destinations included the Lapu-Lapu Shrine, the SM Seaside, the 10 thousand roses lights and floating restaurant, the Lechon House, and scenic long drives across the picturesque landscapes of Cebu.

Gratitude echoed among the participants as they realized the immense energy, wisdom, and unity that emerged from their collaborative efforts. The experience highlighted the importance of teamwork among the CID Chiefs, reinforcing the idea that they are stronger together as one cohesive unit.

The successful collaboration not only enriched their understanding of the new guidelines but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among proactive educational leaders. As they return to their respective divisions, the DepEd NCR’s CID Chiefs are poised to lead the implementation of the latest directives with enhanced synergy and a shared commitment to advancing the quality of education in the region.
